Ambulance Victoria (AV) and Malpa continue to work together to deliver culturally safe health education programs to young people across Victoria.

Since 2016, AV paramedics have partnered with Malpa to help students build practical health knowledge and confidence through engaging, hands-on learning experiences. The partnership focuses on supporting young people with important life skills, including how to call Triple Zero (000), understanding basic first aid, and learning what happens when an ambulance arrives at an emergency.

The program gives students the opportunity to interact directly with paramedics, ask questions, and become more familiar with emergency healthcare services in a safe and supportive environment.

As part of the ongoing partnership, AV paramedics recently visited Reservoir East Primary School on Wednesday 4 March to deliver an interactive education session for students in Years 3 to 6.

Throughout the session, students learned practical emergency response skills and gained insight into the important role paramedics play within the community. Activities encouraged participation, teamwork, and confidence, helping students feel more prepared to respond in emergency situations and support others around them.

Partnerships like this play an important role in strengthening health education outcomes for young people while building trust, understanding, and positive community connections.
